(EN)In a transmission system in which a plurality of amplitude modulated signals is combined to one combined signal which is transported over a non linear transmission medium, distortion of the combined signal will occur. This will lead to a reduced transmission capacity. In order to improve the transmission capacity, the probability of symbols corresponding with large amplitudes is reduced.
(FR)Dans un système de transmission où plusieurs signaux modulés en amplitude sont combinés en un seul signal qui est transporté par un support de transmission non linéaire, il se produit une distorsion du signal combiné.
