Title (EN) HIGH STRENGTH EARTH WORKING TOOTH
(FR) DENT A GRANDE RESISTANCE MECANIQUE POUR TERRASSEMENT
Abstract: front page image
(EN)An earth working tooth (30) having a proximal end (50) for attachment to an earth working machine and a distal end (48) defining a forward cutting edge for penetrating the ground. The tooth has top and bottom surfaces (58, 60) having similarly curved configurations diverging angularly away from each other and extending longitudinally between the forward cutting edge and the proximal end of the tooth. The tooth further comprises parallel and generally vertical sidewalls (44) extending between the top and bottom surfaces of the tooth. The top surface is further provided with a depressed and changing configuration (68) that inhibits the forward cutting edge from blunting as the tooth wears.
