(EN)A system is disclosed for forming metal tubing and, more particularly, brake tubing. The system includes a mill (16) for rolling a metal strip (14) into a tube so that at least a portion of the strip overlaps itself. The strip is then brazed so that the overlapping portions of the strip fuse together and form the tube. Thereafter, the tube passes through a cooling tunnel which cools the tube to a temperature such that the tube can be coated with a corrosion resistant material, such as a zinc based material. An inert gas, such as argon, is introduced into the cooling tunnel to prevent oxidation of the tubing as it passes through the cooling tunnel.
(FR)L'invention concerne la formation de tuyaux métalliques et, plus particulièrement, de tuyaux de frein. Le système comprend un cylindre (16) permettant de rouler une bande métallique (14) de façon à constituer un tuyau, dans lequel au moins une partie de la bande en recouvre une autre. On brase la bande pour que les parties qui se recouvrent fusionnent de façon à former le tuyau, puis on fait passer ce dernier dans un tunnel de refroidissement qui le refroidit à une température à laquelle on peut le recouvrir d'un matériau résistant à la corrosion, tel qu'un matériau à base de zinc. On introduit dans le tunnel de refroidissement un gaz inerte tel que l'argon pour éviter que le tuyau ne s'y oxyde.
