Abstract:
(EN) A system, method and apparatus for transmission of optical signal in which two laser beams (15, 13), operating at different frequencies, travel nearly loss-free and shape-invariant within an absorbing medium (22) whereby the nonlinearity of the beams causes an adiabatic interaction of their optical pulses to maintain signals that modulate one of the beams. The adiabatic interaction of the two beams results in shape-preserving pulses called adiabaton pairs to form within the beams within the absorbing medium.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système, un procédé et un appareil de transmission d'un signal optique dans lequel deux faisceaux laser (15, 13), fonctionnant à différentes fréquences, se déplacent pratiquement sans perte et sans changer de forme, dans un milieu absorbant (22). Le caractère non linéaire des faisceaux provoque une interaction adiabatique de leurs impulsions otiques, pour conserver des signaux modulant un des faisceaux. L'interaction adiabatique des deux faisceaux produit des impulsions conservant leur forme appelées paires d'adiabatons dans les faisceaux dans le milieu absorbant.
