Abstract:
(EN) There is provided an improved process for the biosynthetic production of indigo, the improvement comprising removing unwanted by-products such as isatin or indirubin from the broth in which such indigo is produced. Isatin can be removed by enzymatic activity using an isatin-removing enzyme such as an isatin hydrolase, or by other techniques such as process parameters (elevated temperature, pH), or by contacting the broth containing the isatin with appropriate adsorption compounds/compositions such as carbon or appropriate resins. Since isatin is the precursor of indirubin, the indirubin levels are decreased as a result of isatin removal.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé amélioré permettant la production biosynthétique d'indigo. L'amélioration consiste en l'élimination des sous-produits indésirables, tels que l'isatine et l'indirubine, du bouillon dans lequel l'indigo est produit. On peut éliminer l'isatine en faisant appel à l'activité enzymatique d'une enzyme d'élimination de l'isatine, tel qu'une isatine-hydrolase, ou à d'autres techniques telles que les paramètres de production (température élevée, pH), ou bien en mettant en contact le bouillon contenant l'isatine avec des composés/compositions d'adsorption appropriés, tels que du carbone ou des résines appropriées. L'isatine étant le précurseur de l'indirubine, l'élimination de l'isatine entraîne une diminution du taux d'indirubine.
