Abstract:
(EN) Liquid crystal polymer films and film laminates are prepared by subjecting finely divided polymer particles to sufficient heat and pressure to form a nematic melt phase of the polymer and cooling the structure to form a film. Films prepared by this process exhibit a better balance of tensile properties, improved dimensional stability and reduced coefficient of thermal expansion than conventional extruded film, rendering them more suitable as dielectric film layers in circuit board construction.
(FR) On prépare des couches minces en polymère à cristaux liquides et des stratifiés de film en soumettant des particules polymères finement divisées à une chaleur et à une pression suffisantes pour constituer une phase de fusion nématique du polymère puis en laissant refroidir cette structure afin de former un couche mince. Les couches minces préparées à l'aide de ce procédé présentent un meilleur équilibre de propriétés de traction, une stabilité dimensionnelle améliorée et un coefficient réduit d'expansion thermique par rapport à des couches minces extrudées selon des techniques classiques, ce qui les rend mieux adaptées à servir de couches minces diélectriques lors de la fabrication de plaquettes de circuits imprimés.
