Abstract:
(EN) A process is disclosed for preparing an alkylene glycol by reacting an alkylene oxide with water in the presence of a catalyst comprising a polymeric organosiloxane ammonium salt having a silica-like skeleton and comprising units of general formula (I), wherein R1 to R4, Y and x are as specified in claim 1. Preferred are the catalysts wherein the anion Y is selected from the group of carboxylates having from 1-20 carbon atoms, hydrogen carbonate, hydrogen sulphite, hydrogen phosphate and metalate. These catalysts exhibit an enchanced selectivity stability.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'alkylène glycols, consistant à faire réagir un oxyde d'alkylène avec de l'eau en présence d'un catalyseur comprenant un sel d'ammonium d'organosiloxane polymère ayant un squelette du type silice et contenant des unités de la formule générale (I). Dans cette formule, R1 à R4, Y et x sont comme décrits dans la revendication 1. Les catalyseurs préférés sont ceux où l'anion Y est choisi dans le groupe des carboxylates ayant 1-20 atomes de carbone, de l'hydrogénocarbonate, l'hydrogénosulfite, l'hydrogénophosphate et le métalate. Ces catalyseurs ont une sélectivité et une stabilité améliorées.
