Abstract:
(EN) A tire having a large gripping force even when a vehicle travels on a slippery road surface on which a water film is formed. A tire (10) is characterized in that fiber layer chips (22) having water swelling property are set in the interior of sipings (26) formed in each block, by forcibly opening the sipings (26). In this fiber layer chip-carrying tire, the fiber layer chips absorb the water on a road surface and project from a ground contacting surface of a tread thereof even when the road surface is a water film-carrying frozen road surface. The projected fiber layer chips then slip into the frozen road surface beneath the water film, and ice columns are formed in the fiber network constituting the fiber layer chips. Accordingly, the tire displays a large gripping force.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un pneumatique présentant une forte adhérence sur une route rendue glissante par la présence d'une pellicule d'eau. Ledit pneumatique (10) comporte des inclusions (22) de couches de fibres gonflant à l'eau et enfoncées à force entre les lamelles (26) de chacun des blocs. Dans cette conception de pneumatique les inclusions de fibres absorbant l'eau de la chaussée dépassent de la surface de la bande de roulement en contact avec le sol, même en cas de surface verglacée recouverte d'eau. Le saillant des inclusions glisse alors sur la surface gelée se trouvant sous l'eau et des colonnes de glace se forment dans les réseaux de fibres des inclusions, ce qui produit une forte adhérence.
