Abstract:
(EN) The present invention encompasses manufacturing polysiloxane polyether copolymers using esters without any hydroxyl groups thereon, organohydrogen silanes and unsaturated polyoxyalkylene polyethers. Said esters are of low volatility and high boiling point and have at least eight carbons. The process yields clear copolymer solutions and do not need to have the ester solvent stripped. Also taught are novel compositions incorporating the ester solvent to make the copolymer and the copolymer and the ester solvent.
(FR) L'invention concerne la fabrication de copolymères à base de polyéthers de polysiloxane à l'aide d'esters dépourvus de groupes hydroxyles, de silanes organohydrogénés et de polyéthers polyoxyalkylène non saturés. Les esters en question ont une faible volatilité, un haut point d'ébullition et au moins huit atomes de carbone. Le processus donne des solutions de copolymère translucides et ne nécessite aucune épuration de solvant estérique. On décrit par ailleurs des compositions à base de solvant estérique pour la fabrication des copolymères ainsi que des copolymères accompagnés de solvant estérique.
