Abstract:
(EN) High internal phase emulsions having an internal aqueous phase of greater than 70 percent by volume and an external oil phase comprising a vinyl polymerizable monomer containing a surfactant capable of chemically binding to the polymerizable monomer. Polymeric foams having a high internal phase emulsion stabilizing surfactant chemically bound to the polymeric material and a liquid capacity of from 70 to 99 percent of its saturated volume can be prepared from such emulsions.
(FR) Des émulsions en phase hautement dispersée, qui comportent une phase dispersée aqueuse supérieure à 70 % en volume et une phase huileuse continue comprenant un monomère de vinyle polymérisable, contiennent un agent tensioactif capable de se lier chimiquement au monomère polymérisable. Des mousses polymères qui contiennent un agent tensioactif stabilisant l'émulsion de phase hautement dispersée chimiquement lié au matériau polymère et qui ont une capacité liquide comprise entre 70 et 99 % de son volume saturé peuvent être préparées à partir de ces émulsions.
