Abstract:
(EN) A two-dimensional radiation emitter (4) has a plurality of line sources (S), advantageously of Gd-153. The line sources (S) are removeably retained in the emitter (4) and form an array. The most active line sources (S) are located in the center region of the array, and the activity of the sources progressively diminishes from the center of the array to the ends of the array (where the least active line sources are located). As the line sources undergo radioactive decay, they are moved towards the ends.
(FR) L'invention concerne un émetteur de rayonnements bidimensionnel (4). Cet émetteur comporte plusieurs sources linéaires (S), avantageusement de Gd-153. Ces sources linéaires (S) peuvent être retenues, de manière amovible, dans l'émetteur (4) et forment ainsi un ensemble. Les sources linéaires (S) les plus actives se situent dans la zone centrale de l'ensemble. L'activité des sources diminue progressivement depuis le centre de l'ensemble en direction de ses extrémités (où se situent les sources les plus actives). Lors de la décroissance de leur radioactivité, les sources linéaires se déplacent en direction des extrémités.
