Abstract:
(EN) A remote wound assessment method and apparatus includes forming an oblique image (32) of a wound (34) and a target object such as a plate (36) containing a rectangle (37) and placed near the wound. Using a novel method of determining vanishing points (V1, V2) where photographic images of parallel lines on the target object intersect, coordinate transformations are calculated which map the oblique image (36I) of the rectangle (37I) into a normal image (36N) thereof. Using the same coordinate transformations, an oblique image (34I) of a wound (34) adjacent to the target plate (36) is mapped into a normal view (34N) thereof, allowing precise measurement of wound features. By forming two separate images (32L, 32R) of a wound (34) and target plate (36) at two different oblique inclinations, three-dimensional features of a wound may be measured.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un procédé et un appareil d'évaluation à distance de l'état d'une blessure. Ledit procédé consiste à former une image oblique (32) d'une blessure (34) et d'un objet cible tel qu'une plaque (36) qui contient un rectangle (37) et est placée à proximité de la blessure. En utilisant un nouveau procédé de détermination des points de fuite (V1, V2) où se coupent les images photographiques de lignes parallèles sur l'objet cible, on calcule les transformations de coordonnées qui font correspondre l'image oblique (36I) dudit rectangle (37I) à son image normale (36N). En utilisant les mêmes transformations de coordonnées, on fait correspondre une image oblique (34I) d'une blessure (34) adjacente à la plaque cible (36) à une vue normale de ladite blessure, ce qui permet une mesure précise des caractéristiques de la blessure. En formant deux images distinctes (32L, 32R) d'une blessure (34) et de la plaque cible (36) suivant deux inclinaisons obliques différentes, on peut mesurer les caractéristiques tridimensionnelles de la blessure.
