Abstract:
(EN) A voice signal transmitting method by which the celling delay in speech compression and celling/decelling delays in relay-exchanging are shortened and a high speech quality is ensured. Speech-compressing/framing/celling units (20A, 20B, and 20C) are provided for respective ATM exchanges (10A, 10B, and 10C) in a network. When a telephone set (50-1) is connected to a telephone set (50-3) or (50-5), the speech compressing/framing/celling unit (20A) distributes voice signals inputted from a PBX (30A) to PBX (30B) and PBX (30C), compresses the distributed voice signals, multiplexes only the busy channel into variable-length TDM frames periodically, changes the multiplexed frames into ATM cells, and sends the ATM cells from the ATM exchange (10A) to the ATM exchange (10B or 10C). An exchange system using the system is also disclosed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission de signaux vocaux dans lequel les délais de mise en cellules dans la compression des signaux vocaux et les délais de mise en cellules et de développement de cellules dans les relais/centraux sont raccourcis, tout en assurant une transmission rapide de haute qualité. Les centraux MTA respectifs (10A, 10B et 10C) d'un réseau comportent des unités de compression des signaux vocaux/tramage/mise en cellules (20A, 20B et 20C). Quand un combiné téléphonique (50-1) est connecté à un combiné téléphonique (50-3) ou (50-5), l'unité de compression de signaux vocaux/tramage/mise en cellules (20A) répartit les signaux vocaux reçus d'un PBX (30A) à un PBX (30B) et à un PBX (30C), comprime les signaux vocaux répartis, effectue un multiplexage périodique du canal occupé donnant des trames MRT à longueur variable, change les trames multiplexées en cellules MTA et envoie les cellules MTA du central MTA (10A) vers le central MTA (10B) ou (10C). L'invention concerne également un système de centraux utilisant le système décrit.
