Abstract:
(EN) A communication system which recover its communication function by itself when a fault occurs and by use of which a highly flexible network is built. A plurality of node devices (12) including data generating sources are connected to a plurality of center devices (11) through communication paths (3) using the ATM technology as if the communication system has a distributed ATM switch function. When the communication path (13) between two node devices (12-2 and 12-3) is cut, the center device (11-2) detects the faulty point, and recovers the communication function by itself by transferring the control of the device (12-2) which is under the control of the device (11-2) to the center device (11-1). The center device (11-2) communicates with the device (11-1) through a local communication means, such as a wide area network (16), etc., because the communication is not possible through the path (13) due to the fault.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de communication qui continue à fonctionner correctement en cas d'apparition d'une défaillance et qui permet donc de réaliser un réseau hautement adaptable. Plusieurs dispositifs de noeuds (12) comprenant des sources générant des données sont connectés à plusieurs dispositifs centraux (11) par des trajets de communication (3), par la technologie MTA, comme si le système de communication avait une fonction de commutation MTA répartie. Quand le trajet de communication (13) entre deux dispositifs de noeuds (12-2 et 12-3) est coupé, le dispositif central (11-2) détecte le point défectueux et rétablit la communication automatiquement en transférant la commande du dispositif (12-2) qui est assurée par le dispositif (11-2) au dispositif central (11-1). Le dispositif central (11-2) communique avec le dispositif (11-1) par un moyen de communication local, tel qu'un réseau longue distance (16), etc, car la communication n'est pas possible par le trajet (13) en raison de la défaillance.
