Abstract:
(EN) A locking device for preventing relative rotation of pretorqued compression nuts (10, 16) used in face seal mechanical fittings includes an inner member (26) having a cavity (36) sized to slide onto and non-rotatably enclose the male (10) or first nut of the fitting, an outer member (28) having a first cavity (48) sized to rotatably receive the inner member (26) and a second cavity (52) sized to slide onto and non-rotatably enclose the female (16) or second nut of the fitting, and at least one set screw (30) projecting inwardly through a threaded borehole in the outer member (28) to non-rotatably engage and lock the inner member (26).
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif de blocage destiné à empêcher la rotation relative d'écrous de compression qui subissent un couple initial, utilisés dans les raccords à joints mécaniques. Il comprend un élément intérieur présentant une cavité dont les dimensions lui permettent de glisser sur l'écrou mâle ou le premier écrou du raccord et de l'enfermer d'une manière empêchant la rotation, un élément extérieur présentant une première cavité dont les dimensions lui permettent de recevoir l'élément intérieur en permettant la rotation, et une deuxième cavité dont les dimensions lui permettent de glisser sur l'écrou femelle ou le deuxième écrou du raccord et de l'enfermer d'une manière empêchant la rotation, et au moins une vis de pression qui fait saillie à l'intérieur, par un perçage fileté pratiqué dans l'élément extérieur pour qu'elle vienne au contact de l'élément intérieur d'une façon ne permettant pas la rotation et le bloque.
