Abstract:
(EN) Polymerization of gels for electrophoresis with improved photoinitiators results in gels which are suitable for electrophoresis. The new initiator systems are much faster than current systems for making such gels. Moreover, the polymerization reaction can be conducted in the presence of oxygen, which greatly simplifies gel casting. In particular, it is possible with the invention to cast and use gels of acrylic monomers in a 'submarine' mode, which was not previously possible with acrylamide gels. Continuous casting of gels is facilitated.
(FR) Polymérisation de gels pour électrophorèse contenant des photoamorces améliorées, permettant d'obtenir des gels appropriés pour l'électrophorèse. Les nouveaux systèmes d'amorces sont bien plus rapides que les systèmes actuels de préparation de gels. En outre, la réaction de polymérisation peut être menée en présence d'oxygène, ce qui simplifie considérablement le coulage du gel. En particulier, il est possible, grâce à la présente invention, de couler et d'utiliser des gels de monomères acryliques dans un mode 'sous-marin', ce qui n'était pas précédemment le cas avec des gels acrylamide. Le coulage continu de gels se trouve ainsi facilité.
