Abstract:
(EN) The invention provides an optical method and apparatus for determining the pH of a tissue (71). The method includes the step of first irradiating the tissue (71) with optical radiation (74). The radiation (74) may first pass through skin covering the tissue (71) of interest, or may irradiate the tissue (71) directly. Radiation reflected (90) from the tissue (71) is then collected to determine a reflection spectrum (step 18). pH is then determined by comparing this spectrum to a mathematical model relating optical properties to pH of the tissue (steps 20 and 22).
(FR) Procédé et dispositif optiques permettant de déterminer le pH d'un tissu corporel (71). Le procédé comporte l'étape consistant à soumettre initialement le tissu corporel (71) à un rayonnement optique (74). Ce rayonnement (74) peut tout d'abord traverser la peau recouvrant la région du tissu corporel (71) visé ou bien irradier directement ce tissu. Le rayonnement réfléchi (90) par le tissu (71) est ensuite capté pour déterminer un spectre réfléchi (étape 18). Le pH est alors déterminé en comparant ce spectre à un modèle mathématique établissant la corrélation entre des caractéristiques optiques et le pH des tissus (étapes 20 et 22).
