Abstract:
(EN) Radio telephone apparatus for use in an underground railway system comprises two base stations (3, 4) respectively located at successive railway stations (1, 2). The base station (3) feeds a radiating cable (7) extending in the tunnel bore towards the base station (4) which feeds a radiating cable (12) extending in the tunnel bore towards the base station (3). When a train travels from the station (1) to the station (2), the mobile radio on the train effects call handover, i.e. transference of communication with cable (7) to communication with cable (12). To ensure no interruption in a call during handover, an attenuator (16) is incorporated in the cable (7) adjacent its end, such that the mobile radio effects call handover to the cable (12) before losing communication with the cable (7), even at the maximum possible speed of the train.
(FR) Système radiotéléphonique conçu pour être utilisé dans le métro et comprenant deux stations de base (3, 4) situées respectivement au niveau de stations de métro successives (1, 2). La station de base (3) alimente un câble rayonnant (7) s'étendant dans le tunnel en direction de la station de base (4) qui alimente un câble rayonnant (12) s'étendant dans le tunnel en direction de la station de base (3). Quand un train se déplace de la station (1) à la station (2), le radiotéléphone mobile du train effectue un transfert d'appel, à savoir, une commutation d'une communication au moyen du câble (7) à une communication au moyen du câble (12). Afin d'éviter toute interruption d'appel pendant le transfert, un atténuateur (16) est incorporé dans le câble (7) en position contiguë à son extrémité, de sorte que le radiotéléphone mobile effectue le transfert d'appel vers le câble (12) avant de perdre la communication avec le câble (7), même quand le train roule à sa vitesse maximum.
