Abstract:
(EN) Systems employing passive magnetic bearing elements having minimal power losses are provided. Improved stabilizing elements are shown, employing periodic magnet arrays (10, 12) and inductively loaded circuits (18, 19), but with improved characteristics compared to the elements disclosed in U.S. Patent No. 5,495,221 entitled 'Dynamically Stable Magnetic Suspension/Bearing System'. The improvements relate to increasing the magnitude of the force derivative, while at the same time reducing the power dissipated during the normal operation of the bearing system, to provide a passive bearing system that has virtually no losses under equilibrium conditions, that is when the supported system is not subject to any accelerations except those of gravity.
(FR) Cette invention concerne des systèmes utilisant des éléments de paliers magnétiques passifs ayant des pertes de puissance minimales. Sont illutrés des éléments de stabilisation améliorés, qui utilisent des alignements d'aimants périodiques (10, 12) et des circuits à charge inductive (18, 19), mais avec des caractéristiques améliorées par rapport aux éléments décrits dans le brevet U.S. No. 5,495,221, intitulé 'système de suspension/palier magnétique dynamiquement stable'. Les améliorations se rapportent à l'augmentation de l'amplitude de la dérivée de force, accompagnée dans le même temps d'une réduction de la puissance dissipée pendant le fonctionnement normal du système de palier, de façon à former un système de palier passif qui ne présente virtuellement aucune perte dans des conditions d'équilibre, c'est-à-dire lorsque le système en suspension n'est pas soumis à des accélérations excepté celles de la gravité.
