(FR) PROCEDE DE FABRICATION D'UN PANNEAU A CRISTAUX LIQUIDES
Abstract:
(EN) A method of producing a liquid crystal panel by forming a plurality of liquid crystal sealing regions (17) between a pair of transparent large substrates (1, 4) and dividing individually the liquid crystal sealing regions (17) to produce the liquid crystal panels. This production method includes the steps of (A) forming transparent electrodes (2, 7) for a plurality of liquid crystal panels on the surface of large substrates (1, 4), (B) forming a plurality of sealing members (16) each encompassing the transparent electrode (2 or 7) for one liquid crystal panel on either of the large substrates (1, 4) and forming a liquid crystal charging port (16a) in the individual sealing members (16), (C) bonding the large substrates (1, 4) to one another so that their transparent electrodes (2, 7) oppose one another and the sealing member (16) is sandwiched between them, (D) partially removing either of the large substrates (1, 4) so that the liquid crystal charging port (16a) is exposed to the outside, (E) charging the liquid crystal into the liquid crystal sealing regions (17) through the liquid crystal charging port (16a) exposed to the outside and then sealing the liquid crystal charging port (16a), and (F) separating the pair of the large substrates (1, 4) for each liquid crystal panel after the liquid crystal is charged. Since this production method can execute the liquid crystal charging treatment under the state where the large liquid crystal panel remains as it is, it can simplify the production steps.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un panneau à cristaux liquides consistant à former une pluralité de régions de scellement (17) du cristal liquide entre deux grands substrats transparents (1, 4) et à diviser individuellement les régions de scellement(17) du cristal liquide de façon à fabriquer les panneaux à cristaux liquides. Ce procédé de fabrication consiste à (A) former des électrodes transparentes (2, 7) destinées à une pluralité de panneaux à cristaux liquides, à la surface de grands substrats (1, 4), (B) à former une pluralité d'éléments de scellement (16) enfermant chacun une électrode transparente (2 ou 7) destinée à un panneau à cristaux liquides sur chacun des deux grands substrats (1, 4) et à former un canal d'amenée (16a) du cristal liquide vers chacun des éléments de scellement (16) individuels, (C) à lier l'un à l'autre les grands substrats (1, 4) de manière à ce que leurs électrodes transparentes (2, 7) soient en opposition et de manière à ce qu'ils prennent en sandwich l'élément de scellement (16), (D) à retirer partiellement l'un ou l'autre des deux grands substrats (1, 4) de façon à exposer à l'extérieur le canal d'amenée (16a) du cristal liquide, (E) à amener le cristal liquide à l'intérieur des régions de scellement (17) du cristal liquide par l'intermédiaire du canal d'amenée (16a) exposé à l'extérieur, puis à obturer le canal d'amenée (16a) du cristal liquide et enfin (F) à séparer les deux grands substrats (1, 4) destinés à chacun des panneaux à cristaux liquides après l'opération de charge en cristal liquide. Ce procédé de fabrication, qui permet d'effectuer l'opération de charge en cristal liquide alors que le grand panneau à cristaux liquides reste tel qu'il est, entraîne une simplification des étapes de fabrication.
