Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a method of pretreating sulphide ores or sulphide ore concentrates having high bismuth contents that have a disturbing influence on further processing of the ores or concentrates, such as to enable the ores or concentrates to be further processed for the recovery of their valuable metal contents or at least to facilitate such processing. The invention is characterized by leaching the ore or the concentrate with sulfuric acid over a predetermined time period while supplying heat at a pH below 2, and thereafter separating from the leachate a leaching residue in the form of a product which is leaner in bismuth and more enriched with regard to its valuable metal content than the input material.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de prétraitement de pyrites ou de concentrés de pyrites à forte teneur en bismuth, ayant un effet néfaste sur le traitement ultérieur de minerais ou de concentrés, procédé permettant ou au moins facilitant le traitement ultérieur desdits minerais ou concentrés en vue de la récupération de leur contenu en métaux précieux. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à lessiver le minerai ou le concentré à l'aide d'acide sulfurique pendant une durée prédéterminée, de la chaleur étant envoyée simultanément à un pH inférieur à 2, et à séparer ensuite du produit de lessivage un résidu de lessivage sous forme de produit plus pauvre en bismuth et enrichi en métaux précieux par rapport à la matière de départ.
