Abstract:
(EN) Fluid-fluid contacting apparatus (10) is provided with a structured packing comprising a series of packing elements (20) fabricated from sheets (24) of crimped material in such a way that the corrugations (26) in each sheet (24) extend obliquely with respect to the direction of bulk fluid flow through the apparatus (10). Each packing element (20) is oriented with the sheets (24) thereof in a plane which is angularly displaced with respect to the sheets (24) of neighbouring elements (20). Means is provided at or in the vicinity of the interface (21) between neighbouring elements (20) for reducing the pressure drop imposed on the continuous phase as it passes from one element (20) to the next.
(FR) Un appareil de mise en contact fluide-fluide (10) est pourvu d'un élément de remplissage structuré comportant une série d'éléments de remplissage (20) fabriqués avec des feuilles (24) d'un matériau ondulé de telle manière que les ondulations (26) de chaque feuille (24) se déploient obliquement par rapport au sens de l'écoulement massique de fluide à travers l'appareil (10). Les feuilles (24) de chaque élément de remplissage (20) sont orientées dans un plan décalé angulairement par rapport à celles (24) des éléments voisins (20). Il est prévu un équipement, au point de jonction (21) d'éléments voisins (20) ou près de celui-ci, qui permet de diminuer la chute de pression imposée à la phase continue au fur et à mesure de son passage d'un élément (20) à l'élément suivant.
