Abstract:
(EN) For adjustably mounting an enclosure (10) such as a loudspeaker to an architectural mass such as on a wall (14), a ball-and-socket swivel mounting mechanism is enclosed within a rear region (10A) of the enclosure (10), thus eliminating unsightly conventional external swivel-mounting apparatus. A mounting ball (12A), at the end of a shaft (12B) cantilevered to the wall (14), enters the mounting mechanism through a circular opening (10C) in a central region of the rear panel (10A) of the enclosure (10). The ball (12A) is clamped between a fixed jaw (20B) and a movable jaw (22) actuated by an adjusting screw (28) via which the jaw-clamping force can be applied, adjusted and released by a tool (26) inserted through an opening in the front of the enclosure (10) and directed by an internal guide tube (18B) to engage the adjusting screw (28); thus all installation, orientation adjustment, clamping in place and removal of the enclosure (10) can be performed conveniently from the front of the enclosure (10).
(FR) Afin de monter de façon ajustée une enceinte (10) telle qu'un haut-parleur dans une masse architecturale telle qu'un mur (14), on insère dans une zone (10A) située à l'arrière de l'enceinte (10) un mécanisme de montage à pivot à rotule, éliminant ainsi un appareil de montage externe de type classique, présentant un aspect peu esthétique. Une sphère de montage (12A), placée à l'extrémité d'un axe (12B) monté en porte à faux sur le mur (14), pénètre dans le mécanisme de montage par une ouverture circulaire (10C) placée dans une zone centrale du panneau arrière (10A) de l'enceinte (10). La sphère (12A) est tenue serrée entre une mâchoire de serrage fixe (20B) et une mâchoire de serrage mobile (22) commandée par une vis de réglage (28), ladite vis de réglage servant d'intermédiaire à un instrument (26) incorporé dans l'enceinte (10) par une ouverture située à l'avant de celle-ci (10) et dirigé par un tube de guidage interne (18B) qui vient en contact avec la vis de réglage, cet instrument ayant pour fonction d'appliquer, d'ajuster et de libérer la force de serrage de la mâchoire. Ainsi, toute opération de réglage de l'installation ou de son orientation, de blocage de mise en place ou de retrait de l'enceinte (10) peut se faire sans difficulté par l'avant de l'enceinte (10).
