Abstract:
(EN) A small broadband cross-connect system (10) includes a two-stage matrix (12) for processing and cross-connecting optical and electrical telecommunication network signals. An administration subsystem (14) provides centralized control and synchronization to the two-stage matrix (12). The two-stage matrix (12) may be expanded from 96 ports to 192 ports in a cost and space effective manner.
(FR) Cette invention se rapporte à un système de transconnexion à bande large (10), de petite taille, qui comprend une matrice à deux étages (12) servant à traiter et à transconnecter des signaux de réseaux de télécommunications optiques et électriques. Un sous-système d'administration (14) assure une commande et une synchronisation centralisées à la matrice à deux étages (12). Cette matrice à deux étages (12) peut faire l'objet d'une extension et passer ainsi de 96 ports à 192 ports d'une façon efficace en coûts et en espace.
