Abstract:
(EN) The invention uses digital techniques for defeating the effects of the analog copy protected signal while the signal is in the digital domain. The types of copy protection signals includes pseudo sync pulses and AGC pulses. Additionally digital techniques may be used for reducing or eliminating the effects of a chroma copy protection process (Figs. 10-14). A digital video copy protection eliminator allows removal of substantially all pseudo sync pulses and/or AGC pulses in the digital domain. The location of pseudo syncs and/or AGC pulses are determined, while the signal is in the digital domain. These known pixel locations of all or some of the pseudo syncs and/or AGC pulses are used to digitally modify the signal so as to effectively remove the pseudo sync pulses and/or AGC pulses.
(FR) L'invention utilise des techniques numériques pour éliminer les effets des signaux de protection analogiques anti-copies, alors que le signal est dans le domaine numérique. Parmi les types de signaux de protection anti-copies existants, on peut citer les impulsions de pseudosynchronisation et les impulsions CAG. En plus, on peut utiliser des techniques numériques pour réduire ou éliminer les effets de procédés de protection anti-copies du chroma (Figs. 10-14). Un éliminateur numérique de la protection anti-copies de signaux vidéo permet d'enelver sensiblement toutes les impulsions de pseudosynchronisation et/ou les impulsions CAG dans le domaine numérique. On détermine les emplacements des impulsions de pseudosynchronisation et/ou des impulsions CAG, alors que le signal est dans le domaine numérique. Ces emplacements de pixels connus de certains ou de toutes les impulsions de pseudosynchronisation et/ou impulsions CAG sont utilisés pour modifier numériquement le signal de manière à enlever effectivement les impulsions de pseudosynchronisation et/ou les impulsions CAG.
