Abstract:
(EN) Passenger vehicle door latch assembly (10) (Figure 1) includes inhibiting means for preventing accidental setting of the latch to locked condition while the door is open. A resiliently loaded plunger (42) is guided in fixed structure (32) between a blocking position at which a head (44) or other stop formation of the plunger prevents shifting of an element (36) of locking mechanism to its locked position and a free position at which locking can take place. The plunger co-acts with a face of a claw or other latch formation (12) or with a face of a pawl or other retention element (16) whenever the latter formation or element are not in their door securing relationship so preventing movement of the plunger from the blocking position until the door is closed.
(FR) L'ensemble de verrouillage (10) de portière de véhicule (Fig. 1) de la présente invention comporte un organe de sécurité empêchant, porte ouverte, le passage accidentel du verrou à l'état verrouillé. Un piston (42) maintenu par ressort guidé dans une structure fixe (32) circule entre une position de blocage et une position de liberté. En position de blocage, une tête (44), ou un autre organe de butée du piston, empêche un élément (36) du mécanisme de verrouillage de glisser en position de verrouillage. En position de liberté, le verrouillage peut s'effectuer. Le piston est en interaction avec une face d'une griffe ou d'un autre élément de verrouillage (12), ou avec une face d'un cliquet ou d'un autre élément de retenue (16), dès que l'un ou l'autre de ces éléments ne sont pas dans leur position respective de fermeture de porte.
