Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides an isolated and purified polynucleotide that encodes $i(Candida albicans) type I topoisomerase. Methods of making recombinant $i(C. albicans) topoisomerase I using those polynucleotides and host cells transformed with those polynucleotides are also provided. The present invention also provides a method for identifying compounds which inhibit the growth of fungal cells using the polynucleotide.
(FR) On décrit un polynucléotide qu'on a isolé et purifié et qui code la topoisomérase de type I de Candida albicans, de même que des procédés permettant de recombiner cette topoisomérase à l'aide de ces polynucléotides et de cellules hôtes transformées avec ces derniers. On décrit aussi un procédé d'identification des composés qui inhibent la croissance des cellules fongiques grâce à ce polynucléotide.
