Abstract:
(EN) The present invention generally relates to the formation of organic gels by dissolving organic gelling agents in organic solvents. The aryl cyclohexanol gelling agents employed in this invention are not structurally related to previously known gellation agents and they exhibit potent gellation activity, for example, from 0.2 - 5 %, by weight, of gelling agent, which is able to immobilize a variety of organic solvents. The gels formed range from optically transparent to slightly translucent, and complete fluidity can be restored by either increasing the temperature (reversible) or by chemical treatment (irreversible).
(FR) La présente invention concerne, de manière générale, la formation de gels organiques par la dissolution d'agents gélifiants organiques dans des solvants organiques. Les agents gélifiants à base de cyclohexanol aryle utilisés dans la présente invention, n'ont aucun lien, du point de vue de leur structure, avec les agents gélifiants en l'état actuel de la technique, et possèdent une puissante activité gélifiante, une quantité de 0,2 à 5 % en poids, par exemple, d'un tel agent gélifiant permettant d'immobiliser tout une gamme de solvants organiques. Sur le plan de l'optique, les gels ainsi obtenus vont de la transparence à une légère translucidité. Une fluidité complète peut être recouvrée soit en augmentant la température (processus réversible), soit par traitement chimique (processus irréversible).
