Abstract:
(EN) A method is provided for the synthesis of environmentally degradable block copolymers which includes the sequential polymerization of polymer-forming materials in the presence of one or more polymerization reaction accelerants and catalysts. The accelerants are a class of hydrogen-labile compounds which act as polymerization initiators and accelerate the polymerization rate significantly. The environmentally degradable block copolymers produced include those comprising segments of polymers of alkylene oxides, trimethylene carbonates, lactones and cyclic esters of hydroxycarboxylic acids.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un procédé de synthèse de copolymères séquencés dégradables dans l'environnement, lequel procédé consiste à effectuer la polymérisation séquentielle de matériaux formant des polymères en présence d'un ou de plusieurs accélérateurs et catalyseurs de réaction de polymérisation. Ces accélérateurs consistent en une classe de composés à labilité hydrogène qui servent d'initiateurs de polymérisation et permettent d'accroître sensiblement le taux de polymérisation. Les copolymères séquencés et dégradables dans l'environnement ainsi obtenus comprennent également ceux comportant des segments de polymères d'oxydes d'alkylène, de carbonates de triméthylène, de lactones et d'esters cycliques d'acides hydroxycarboxyliques.
