Abstract:
(EN) A rotor for a shapemeter is shown in the figure and comprises an inner annulus (6) connected to and spaced from a coaxial outer annulus (7) by means of rubber o-rings (10). The air gap formed between the annuli (6, 7) and the rubber o-rings (10) provide a thermal barrier which greatly alleviates heat transfer between the inner and outer annuli (6, 7) and allows the annuli to be made of materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion. In consequence the inertia of the rotor can be minimised and the thermal stability of the rotor enhanced so that shapemeters using the rotor have improved sensitivity.
(FR) Ce rotor, destiné à un appareil de mesure de forme, comprend un anneau interne (6), relié à un anneau externe coaxial (7) mais espacé de celui-ci au moyen de joints toriques (10) en caoutchouc. La couche d'air formée entre les anneaux (6, 7) ainsi que les joints toriques (10) constituent une barrière thermique qui atténue grandement le transfert thermique entre les anneaux interne et externe (6, 7), ce qui permet de réaliser ceux-ci dans des matériaux présentant des coefficients de dilatation thermique très différents. En conséquence, on peut minimiser l'inertie du rotor et augmenter la stabilité thermique de celui-ci de manière à ce que les appareils de mesure de forme, dans lesquels on utilise ce rotor, présentent une sensibilité améliorée.
