Abstract:
(EN) A homogeneous mixture of a base fiber and a binder material that is compressed to form a nonwoven fabric of selected porosity. The binder material has at least a surface with a melting temperature lower than that of the base fiber. The sheet is formed into a selected geometric shape and thermally fused to bind the base fiber into a porous filter element (11). The preferred shape is a helically wound tube of plural sheets (13, 15, 17, 19), each sheet being (13, 15, 17, 19) self-overlapped and compressed to overlap another sheet (13, 15, 17, 19). Each sheet (13, 15, 17, 19) preferably heated and compressed individually and the sheets (13, 15, 17, 19) may be selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic and resin, and the base fiber is selected from the group consisting of thermoplastics and natural.
(FR) Un mélange homogène de fibres de base et d'un liant est comprimé pour former un non tissé d'une porosité choisie. Le liant a au moins une surface avec une température de fusion inférieure à celle des fibres de base. On donne à la feuille la forme géométrique souhaitée et on lui fait subir une fusion thermique pour lier les fibres de base et former un élément filtrant poreux (11). La forme préférée est un tube enroulé en hélice de plusieurs feuilles (13, 15, 17, 19), chaque feuille (13, 15, 17, 19) étant elle-même recouverte et comprimée pour recouvrir une autre feuille (13, 15, 17, 19). Chaque feuille (13, 15, 17, 19) est de préférence, chauffée et comprimée individuellement et les feuilles (13, 15, 17, 19) peuvent être choisies parmi les thermoplastiques et les résines, et les fibres de base sont choisies parmi les thermoplastiques et les produits naturels.
