(EN)A process for cloning paphiopedila by splitting surface-sterilized apical buds of the scapes or axillary shoots of a paphiopedilum or sterile shoots thereof obtained by sterile culture into fragments and culturing the same in a medium containing plant hormones. It is possible to form multishoots by splitting sterile shoots containing numerous axillary buds into fragments and culturing the same and also to effectively prevent withering caused by the browning of plant tissues by using a liquid medium containing solid supports such as rock wool or filter paper for the culture. Further it is possible to realize mass production of paphiopedila according to cloning techniques by sterilizing flower buds before flowering or by optimizing the composition of the medium and the conditions of the culture.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un processus de clonage de paphiopedila, lequel consiste à fragmenter des bourgeons apicaux stérilisés en surface et provenant de fûts ou de pousses axillaires d'un paphiopedilum, ou encore de pousses stériles de ce dernier obtenues par culture stérile, et à cultiver ces fragments dans un milieu contenant des hormones végétales. Il est ainsi possible d'obtenir des pousses multiples en fragmentant des pousses stériles contenant plusieurs bourgeons axillaires et en cultivant ces fragments, ainsi que de prévenir le dépérissement dû au brunissement du tissu des plantes en utilisant un milieu liquide contenant des supports solides tel que de la laine de roche ou un papier filtre afin d'effectuer la culture. Il est également possible d'obtenir une production à grande échelle de paphiopedila par des techniques de clonage, en stérilisant les bourgeons de fleurs avant la floraison ou en optimisant la composition du milieu et les conditions de culture.
