A method for processing sewage eliminates chemical 'treatment', or, the addition of chemicals that are as harmful or more so to the environment than raw sewage. The method of processing sewage disintegrates the generally solid components of sewage into a highly de-moisturized powder via alternative processes, the first being a freeze-drying process, wherein sewage (S) enters a settling tank (12) via inlet piping (14). The sewage then passes through a grinding pump (16), into a second holding tank (22), then into a freezer chamber (28), then into a vacuum chamber (42), and then into a storage station (50). A second process combining centrifugal separation and an evacuated 'bake-out' step is also disclosed. Both porcesses drive out vaporizalble components from the sewage which would adversely impact the environment.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de traitement des eaux d'égout sans intervention chimique ni adjonction de produits chimiques au moins aussi préjudiciables à l'environnement que les eaux non traitées. Le procédé consiste à désintégrer les composants sensiblement solides des eaux en une poudre fortement déshydratée à l'aide de deux techniques possibles: la première par congélation/dessiccation selon laquelle les eaux pénètrent dans un bassin de décantation (12) par une conduite d'admission (14), puis passent par une pompe broyeuse (16), puis dans un bassin de rétention (22), puis dans une chambre de congélation, puis dans une chambre à vide (42) et enfin dans un bassin de stockage (50); la seconde combinant une séparation par centrifugation et une étape de cuisson évaporation. Ces deux techniques éliminent des eaux d'égout les composés vaporisables qui auraient sinon un impact défavorable sur l'environnement.
