A vehicle suspension system comprises a pair of longitudinal support members (110) each supporting a wheel at a first end and including a bush (122) by means of which it is pivotally attached to mounting bracket (117) at a second end. Simultaneous vertical movement of the wheels results in pivoting of the support members about an axis (124) which is transverse to the vehicle. Each bush has a bush axis (132) which is at an angle to the transverse axis (124). Each support member has a snubbing face (144) which is spaced from a snubbing face (148) on the mounting member to leave a gap (146) therebetween, and a cushioning washer (150) is provided in the gap to cushion contact between the two snubbing faces. The snubbing faces (144, 148) are arranged so that the snubbing they provide will limit movement of the second ends of the support members (110, 112) transversely relative to the mounting bracket (117).

Ce système de suspension de véhicule comprend une paire de bras de support longitudinaux (110), chacun supportant une roue au niveau d'une première extrémité et présentant un manchon (122), au niveau d'une seconde extrémité, à l'aide duquel ce bras est fixé pivotant sur un support de montage (117). Un déplacement vertical simultané des roues provoque le pivotement des bras de support autour d'un axe (124) transversal par rapport au véhicule. Chaque manchon présente un axe (132) de manchon formant un angle avec l'axe transversal (124). Chaque bras de support comporte une face de friction (144) distante d'une face de friction (148) située sur le support de montage, afin de laisser un espace (146) entre ces faces, et on a monté une rondelle d'amortissement (150) dans cet espace afin d'amortir le contact entre les deux faces de friction. Lesdites faces (144, 148) sont agencées de telle manière que leur friction limite le mouvement des secondes extrémités des bras de support (110, 112), transversalement par rapport au support de montage (117).
