(EN)The present invention is related to a method of identifying therapeutic compounds and vaccines active against $i(Helicobacter pylori) infections comprising an $i(in vivo) animal model. The method is characterized by inoculation of an immunologically competent rodent animal selected from the group of NZB mice, DBA mice, KK mice or a rat with a $i(H. pylori) strain associated with gastritis in humans and thereafter to the infected animal administration of a test compound or a vaccine candidate and determination of the effectiveness of said compound or vaccine on the infection. The invention also relates to the use of said animal model in the development of diagnostic tests for such infections, as well as a New Zealand Black (NZB) mouse infected with human $i(Helicobacter pylori) strains.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé pour identifier des composés et vaccins thérapeutiques actifs contre les infections à $i(Helicobacter pylori), faisant intervenir un modèle animal $i(in vivo). Selon ce procédé, on inocule une souche de $i(H. pylori) associée à une gastrite chez les humains à un animal rongeur immunologiquement compétent, sélectionné dans un des groupes de souris NZB, DBA, KK ou à un rat. Ensuite, on administre à l'animal infecté un composé test ou un vaccin candidat afin de déterminer l'efficacité dudit composé ou vaccin contre l'infection en question. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation dudit modèle animal dans le développement de tests diagnostiques pour de telles infections ainsi qu'une souris Nouvelle-Zélande Black (NZB) infectée par des souches de $i(Helicobacter pylori) humaines.
