Title: A METHOD OF DETERMINING THE RATE OF CORROSION IN REINFORCED CONCRETE
Abstract:
An electrode assembly for determining the rate of corrosion in reinforced concrete by way of a galvanostatic pulse method and comprising an active current density-controlled counterelectrode (2) and an associated feedback electrode (3). On the outer side a circumferential adjusting electrode (5) with an associate feedback (4) is provided. An associated circuit controls the supply of current to the various electrodes in such a manner that the same current density applies at the counterelectrode (2) and the adjusting electrode (5), respectively. The rate of corrosion of the reinforcement in the concrete can thus be measured in a far quicker and more accurate manner than hitherto known.
