Abstract

A vanadium-containing catalyst produced by using polyvanadic acid as the vanadium source. Such a catalyst can be produced by mixing a polyvanadic acid sol prepared by subjecting an aqueous solution of a metavanadate salt to ion exchange with a proton-form cation-exchange resin and polycondensation with the catalyst-constituting components other than vanadium or precursors thereof, and drying and/or firing the obtained mixture. This catalyst exhibits enough catalytic activity even under mild reaction conditions and can suitably be used in the synthesis of phthalic anhydride by partial oxidation of o-xylene, that of benzaldehyde by partial oxidation of toluene, that of benzoic acid by partial oxidation of toluene, that of anisaldehyde by partial oxidation of p-methoxytoluene, that of propylene by oxidative dehydrogenation of propane, that of isobutene by oxidative dehydrogenation of isobutane, that of methyl formate by oxidative dehydrogenation of methanol, that of acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propane, and so on.

L'invention concerne un catalyseur contenant du vanadium, que l'on produit en utilisant de l'acide polyvanadique comme source de vanadium. Un tel catalyseur peut être produit par le mélange d'un sol d'acide polyvanadique que l'on prépare en soumettant une solution aqueuse d'un sel du type métavanadate à un échange ionique sur une résine échangeuse de cations sous une forme protonique et en effectuant une polycondensation avec les composants constitutifs du catalyseur autres que le vanadium ou ses précurseurs, et par séchage et/ou calcination du mélange obtenu. Ce catalyseur présente une activité catalytique suffisante même dans des conditions de réaction peu rigoureuses et il est utile pour la synthèse de l'anhydride phtalique par l'oxydation partielle de l'ortho-xylène, celle du benzaldéhyde par l'oxydation partielle du toluène, celle de l'acide benzoïque par l'oxydation partielle du toluène, celle de l'anisaldéhyde par oxydation partielle du p-méthoxytoluène, celle du propylène par la déshydrogénation oxydative du propane, celle de l'isobutène par la déshydrogénation de l'isobutane, celle du formate de méthyle par la déshydrogénation oxydative du méthanol, celle de l'acrylonitrile par ammoxydation du propane, etc.
