Abstract

A probe (10) for diagnosing periodontal disease includes a sulfide responsive measuring electrode (30), and a reference electrode (32) joined by a salt bridge (38). The reference electrode is maintained in a saturated salt environment. The probe may include a sound generation (24) for providing an auditory indication of sulfide concentration.

Une sonde (10) de diagnostic d'une paradontolyse comporte une électrode de mesure (30) réagissant à du sulfure, reliée à une électrode de référence (32) par un pont salin (38). L'électrode de référence est maintenue dans un environnement saturé en sel. La sonde peut comporter un générateur de son (24) destiné à fournir une indication auditive d'une concentration en sulfure.
