A wireless alarm system using spread spectrum transmitters (X1, X2, ..., XN), fast frequency shift keying, spread spectrum receivers (502, 504) with display (506). The spread spectrum transmitter includes an oscillator (2) coupled to a microprocessor (8) with chip code generation means, preamble register, address register and data register. The spread spectrum receiver acquires synchronization of the spread spectrum signal using the microprocessor coupled to the quieting, signal strength or baseband output of the receiver, with a two step algorithm. The steps comprise achieving a coarse lock and a fine lock to the spread spectrum signal.

Dans le système d'alarme sans fil décrit, on utilise des émetteurs de spectre dispersé (X1, X2, ..., XN), une modification rapide des fréquences, et des récepteurs de spectre dispersé (502, 504) avec des écrans de visualisation (506). L'émetteur de spectre dispersé comprend un oscillateur (2) couplé à un microprocesseur (8) pourvu de moyens de génération d'un code à puce, d'un registre de préambules, d'un registre d'adresses et d'un registre de données. Le récepteur de spectre dispersé synchronise le signal à spectre dispersé au moyen du microprocesseur couplé à la sortie utile, à la sortie indicatrice de l'intensité du signal ou à la sortie de la bande de base du récepteur, en appliquant un algorithme à deux étapes. Ces étapes consistent en un calage grossier et en un calage fin sur le signal à spectre dispersé.
