Abstract
(EN)
An apparatus for welding sheets of material, such as automobile body parts (11, 11'), by modular clamps (12). Each modular clamp (12) includes a lower plate (14) and an upper plate (16) movable relative to lower plate (14) by an actuator arm (30) under the control of a computer (70). Each clamp (12) also has a fiber optic cable (18) and a slot (28) to allow the edges to be laser welded together. The welding operation is carried out by a focussing head (26) with a motor to drive a focus lens relative to a recollimating lens. A laser beam source (22) has a time share distributor (72) to supply the beam to the fiber optic cables (18) in sequential fashion.

La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de souder des tôles telles que des pièces de carrosserie automobile (11, 11') en employant des pinces modulaires (12). Chaque pince modulaire (12) comporte une platine inférieure (14) et une platine supérieure (16) mobile par rapport à la platine inférieure (14) sous l'effet d'un bras actionneur (30) sous la commande d'un ordinateur (70). En outre, chaque pince (12) est équipée d'un câble à fibres optiques (18) et comporte une fente (28) permettant de souder ensemble les bords par effet laser. L'opération de soudage s'exécute au moyen d'une tête de focalisation (26) équipée d'un moteur actionnant une lentille de mise au point par rapport à une lentille collimatrice. Une source à faisceau laser (22) est pourvue d'un répartiteur de créneaux temporels (72) permettant de fournir séquentiellement le faisceau aux câbles à fibres optiques (18).
