Abstract

A ceramic hot-gas candle filter having a porous support of filament-wound oxide ceramic yarn at least partially surrounded by a porous refractory oxide ceramic matrix, and a membrane layer on at least one surface thereof. The membrane layer may be on the outer surface, the inner surface, or both the outer and inner surface of the porous support. The membrane layer is formed of an ordered arrangement of continuous filament oxide ceramic yarn which is at least partially surrounded by a porous refractory oxide ceramic matrix. The filter can withstand thermal cycling during backpulse cleaning and is resistant to chemical degradation at high temperatures.

L'invention concerne un filtre céramique, en forme de bougie, pour gaz chaud, présentant un support poreux de fil céramique d'oxyde à enroulement de filaments, entouré au moins en partie d'une matrice céramique d'oxyde réfractaire poreuse, et une couche membranaire sur au moins une de ses surfaces. La couche membranaire peut se trouver sur la surface extérieure, sur la surface intérieure, ou sur les deux surfaces du support poreux. Cette couche membranaire est constituée d'un ensemble ordonné de fil céramique d'oxyde à filaments continus, entouré au moins en partie d'une matrice céramique d'oxyde réfractaire poreuse. Ce filtre peut résister à des variations cycliques de température pendant le nettoyage rétropulsé et à la décomposition chimique à hautes températures.
