Abstract
(EN)
A novel strain of $i(Bacillus cereus), designated AS4-12, has been isolated from the environment. The strain AS4-12 is one of a number of $i(B. cereus) strains which are useful as biocontrol agents to combat fungal damping off disease in field crop plants, and strain AS4-12 has exhibited the best performance among a large number of natural isolates in fostering the emergence and growth of alfalfa plants under normal field conditions in the upper midwestern U.S.

On isolé de l'environnement une nouvelle souche de $i(Bacillus cereus), appelée AS4-12. Cette souche AS4-12 est une des nombreuses souches de $i(B. cereus) qui sont utiles en tant qu'agents de lutte biologique contre la fonte des semis de plantes de grande culture, et s'avère la plus efficace parmi un grand nombre d'isolats naturels pour stimuler l'émergence et la croissance de plants de luzerne dans des conditions normales dans le nord du Middlewest américain.
