Abstract

An electromagnetic actuator has four positions which are stable in the absence of a current and moves rapidly between these positions when acted upon by a current. The actuator has a thin, rotatable magnet (3) with two pairs of magnetic poles transversally magnetised in alternate directions, and a stator member having four pole pieces (9-12, 34-37, 48-51) of developed length P, each with an excitation coil. Two consecutive poles of the thin magnet (3) are spaced by a distance d. The thin magnet (3) is movable in an airgap of width E, wherein the size ratio P:E and P:d is greater than 8. The invention is useful for driving a device such as a valve or a switch.

La présente invention concerne un actionneur électromagnétique présentant quatre positions stables en l'absence de courant et un déplacement rapide entre ces positions stables sous l'action d'un courant. L'actionneur comporte un aimant mince (3) mobile en rotation, présentant deux paires de pôles magnétiques aimantés transversalement en sens alternés, et une structure statorique comportant quatre épanouissements polaires (9 à 12, 34 à 37, 48 à 51) de longueur développée P munis chacun d'une bobine d'excitation. Deux pôles consécutifs de l'aimant mince (3) sont séparés par une distance d. L'aimant mince (3) est mobile dans un entrefer d'une dimension E. Les rapports de dimension P/E et P/d sont supérieurs à 8. Application: entraînement d'un dispositif tel qu'une vanne ou un interrupteur.
