A birdcage resonator coil for use, e.g., in a magnetic resonance system, has a pair of parallel, conducting end rings (20, 22; 30, 32) with N conductors (24; 34) connected between them and spaced at intervals of 2$g(p)/$i(N), the conductors curving outwards along elliptical paths. The elliptical-curving conductors may be associated in pairs (34A, B, C, D).

Ce bobinage de résonateur en forme de cage, utile par exemple dans un système à résonance magnétique, présente une paire d'anneaux (20, 22; 30, 32) d'extrémité, parallèles, conducteurs, comportant un nombre N de conducteurs (24; 34) connectés entre les anneaux et espacés selon des intervalles 2$g(p)/$i(N), ces conducteurs étant courbés vers l'extérieur le long de trajets elliptiques. On peut combiner en paires (34A, B, C, D) ces conducteurs à courbure elliptique.
