Abstract

A connecting linkage is provided between two structural members which includes a pinned connection to allow rotation of one structural member with respect to the other and which permits adjustment and alignment before locking the device in position without the need for drilling a precisely positioned hole for the pin in the structural member. An oversized hole is formed in one of the structural members and the pin is placed through the hole. A first support plate having pin-sized holes is then placed over each end of the pin followed by a second pair of support plates are having pin-sized holes. The assembly is then moved with respect to the first structural member as permitted by the oversized hole around the pin into a desired position. The second pair of support plates are then welded to the second structural member and the first pair of support plates are welded to the first structural member. If desired, the pin may be welded to the second pair of support plates. The first pair of support plates and the first structural member are free to rotate about the pin and with respect to the second pair of support plates and the second structural member.

L'invention porte sur un mécanisme de liaison entre deux éléments porteurs comprenant une liaison à broche qui permet une rotation d'un des éléments porteurs par rapport à l'autre et qui permet un ajustement et un alignement avant de verrouiller le dispositif en position, sans qu'il y ait besoin de forer un trou en un point précis pour la broche dans l'élément porteur. Un trou surdimensionné est formé dans un des éléments porteurs et la broche est placée dans le trou. Une première plaque de support ayant des trous de la taille de la broche est alors placée sur chaque extrémité de la broche, suivie de deux secondes plaques de support ayant également des trous de la taille d'une broche. Le système est alors déplacé par rapport au premier élément porteur comme cela est permis par le trou surdimensionné, autour de la broche, pour être mis dans la position souhaitée. Les deux secondes plaques de support sont ensuite soudées au second élément porteur et les deux premières plaques de support sont soudées au premier élément porteur. Lorsque cela est souhaité, la broche peut être soudée aux deux secondes plaques de support. Les deux premières plaques de support et le premier élément porteur sont libres en rotation par rapport à la broche et par rapport aux deux secondes paires de plaques de support et au second élément porteur.
