Bei einer elektrischen Zahnbürste ist eine Zahnbürstenachse (6) in einem Zahnbürstengehäuse drehbar und axial verschieblich gelagert. Diese Zahnbürstenachse (6) greift mit Armen (8, 9) über ein Kronenrad (5), welches von einem Ritzel (4) einer Motorwelle (2) angetrieben wird. Das Kronenrad (5) hat einen Exzenter (11), der die Gabel (7) und damit auch die Zahnbürstenachse (6) in eine pendelnde Bewegung versetzt. Eine gleichzeitige, hin- und hergehende Bewegung der Zahnbürstenachse (6) kommt dadurch zustande, daß der andere Arm (8) der Gabel (7) in eine Hubkurve (3) auf der Motorwelle (2) eingreift.

In an electric toothbrush, a rotary and axially movable toothbrush axis (6) is mounted in a toothbrush housing. The toothbrush axis (6) engages with arms (8, 9) via a contrate gear (5) driven by a pinion (4) of a motor shaft (2). The contrate gear (5) has an eccentric (11) that causes the fork (7) and consequently also the toothbrush axis (6) to oscillate. A simultaneous, reciprocating movement of the toothbrush axis (6) is caused by the fact that the other arm (8) of the fork (7) engages a lifting cam (3) on the motor shaft (2).

Dans cette brosse à dents électrique, un axe (6) est monté rotatif et axialement mobile dans un boîtier de brosse à dents. L'axe (6) s'engrène avec des bras (8, 9) par l'intermédiaire d'une roue de chant (5) entraînée par un pignon (4) d'un arbre moteur (2). La roue de chant (5) comprend un excentrique (11) qui anime la fourche (7) et par conséquent l'axe (6) de la brosse à dents d'un mouvement d'oscillation. Le mouvement alternatif simultané de l'axe (6) de la brosse à dents est dû au fait que l'autre bras (8) de la fourche (7) s'emboîte dans une came de levage (3) sur l'arbre moteur (2).
