Abstract

The invention concerns a soft magnetic, anisotropic composite material essentially consisting of compacted, essentially flaky shaped, electrically insulated particles of essentially pure iron powder containing less than 0.01 % by weight of carbon, which particles are aligned in essentially parallel relationship and bonded together by an organic polymer resin. The new material is characterized by a green density of at least 7.4 g/cm3. The invention also concerns a process for the preparation of the new material as well as the use of the material for devices operating at power frequencies.

La présente invention concerne un matériau composite magnétique doux qui est anisotrope. Il se compose essentiellement de particules de forme sensiblement floconneuse, et électriquement isolées. Ces particules, faites d'une poudre de fer pratiquement pur dont la teneur pondérale en carbone est inférieur à 0,01 %, respectent un alignement établissant entre elles une relation de parallélisme, une résine polymère organique les liant entre elles. Ce nouveau matériau est caractérisé par une masse volumique à cru d'au moins 7,4 g/cm3. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de ce nouveau matériau ainsi que l'utilisation de celui-ci pour des appareils fonctionnant à la fréquence du secteur.
