Abstract

A method of removing sulfur from product gas. In the method, product gas is supplied through a fluidized bed formed by a sorbent in metal oxide form in a sulfur removal reactor (2), whereby the sorbent reacts with the sulfur present in the product gas and turns into metal sulfide, and the metal sulfide is supplied from the sulfur removal reactor (2) to a separate regeneration reactor (5) where it is regenerated by contacting it with an oxygen-containing regeneration gas, wherein the regeneration gas is oxygen or air and a diluent gas mixed with it, and the sorbent is moved between the sulfur removal reactor (2) and the regeneration reactor (5) with a carrier gas. The diluent gas and/or carrier gas used in the invention is an inert gas mixture formed by combustion of a hydrocarbon compounds containing gas or gas mixture under stoichiometric conditions.

L'invention concerne un procédé de désulfuration dans la production: le gaz est acheminé dans un lit-fluidisé constitué par un sorbant sous forme d'oxyde métallique à l'intérieur d'un réacteur de désulfuration (2); le sorbant réagit avec le soufre présent dans le gaz, qu'il transforme en sulfure de métal, et ledit sulfure passe du réacteur (2) susmentionné à un réacteur de régénération (5) distinct, où il est régénéré au contact d'un gaz de régénération à base d'oxygène, ce gaz étant de l'oxygène ou de l'air mélangé avec un gaz diluant; ensuite, le sorbant circule entre le réacteur de désulfuration (2) et le réacteur de régénération (5) avec un gaz porteur. En ce qui concerne le gaz diluant et/ou le gaz vecteur dont il est question dans l'invention, on utilise un mélange gazeux inerte résultant de la combustion de composés d'hydrocarbure à base de gaz ou de mélange gazeux dans des conditions st÷chiométriques.
