Abstract

A composite film having such applications as a protective film and an antireflection coating for an LCD polarizing film. The composite film has good lubricity for easiness of coiling, mechanical and chemical resistance, and desirable optical properties. One example of the composite film comprises a substrate film and a hard coat layer made of resin curable by ionizing radiation formed on the substrate film, and fine corrugations for providing surface lubricity are formed on the surface of the hard coat layer. Another example of the composite film comprises a substrate film and a hard coat layer formed on the substrate film, wherein the hard coat layer is made of a composition containing resin curable by ionizing radiation, inorganic and/or organic fine particles and an organic silicone.

Cette invention concerne un film composite pouvant être utilisé comme film protecteur ou comme revêtement antireflet pour un film de polarisation d'affichage à cristaux liquides. Ce film composite possède de bonnes qualités de lubrification pour faciliter son enroulement, une bonne résistance mécanique et chimique ainsi que les qualités optiques requises. Dans un mode de réalisation, le film composite comprend un film porteur et une couche dure de revêtement. Cette couche est faite d'une résine durcie par rayonnement ionisant sur le film porteur, et comporte également de fines cannelures de manière à assurer la lubrification de la surface. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le film composite comprend un film porteur ainsi qu'une couche dure de revêtement formée sur ledit film porteur. La couche dure de revêtement est faite d'une composition contenant une résine durcie par rayonnement ionisant, de fines particules non organiques et/ou organiques ainsi qu'un silicone organique.
