Abstract

A method of selecting anti-aggregation molecules with chaperone-like activity that have characteristics including binding to a native target molecule epitope with a high binding constant and which are non-inhibitory to the biological activity of the target molecule when bound. The method includes the steps of mixing a denatured target molecule with a presumptive anti-aggregation molecule and then determining if the target molecules are prevented from self- or induced-aggregation. The nonaggregated target molecule coupled to the anti-aggregation molecule is then tested for bioactivity.

Procédé de sélection de molécules anti-agrégation présentant une activité de type chaperon et possédant des caractéristiques telles que leur fixation à un épitope moléculaire cible natif présentant une contante de fixation élevée; ces molécules n'inhibent pas l'activité biologique de la molécule cible après fixation. Le procédé consiste à mélanger une molécule cible dénaturée avec une molécule anti-agrégation présumée, puis à déterminer si l'auto-agrégation ou l'agrégation induite des molécules cibles est inhibée. On teste ensuite la bioactivité des molécules cibles non agrégées couplées à la molécule anti-agrégation.
